User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-UTF-8; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-UTF-8; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

On the Fonts Control Panel, there is an option to force USER fonts to OVERRIDE fonts specified on web pages ("unchecked value" for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above).

The option to allow web-page 'overrides' needs to allow overriding font-size parameters separately from font-faces. Note: Internet Explorer has had this functionality since IE5. In IE8, this is all under the accessibility panel where there are 4 options, related to accessibility, about what to ignore on webpages (and use user-specified values, instead):
1) ignore C-olors
2) ignore font S-tyles (family or font-face)
3) ignore font si-Z-es
4) use user-specified D-ocument style sheet

I'm not, by the way, suggesting that all the above options be collected onto one page. I find the option for 'font override' more natural on the font page.
The option to allow/disallow font-size overriding would be more natural on this page as well. Note: with font-size, the font-lower-case-to-uppercase size-ratio also needs to be provided (font-size-adjust), but that merits a separate bug. I don't believe font-size-adjust needs a separate 'override' option -- but it should be specifiable, in some form, as a 'font-size' parameter.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. note that one can't allow different font faces/families while forcing user-font size parameters (size for regular and minimum size).
2.
3.
Actual Results:
web pages look wrong or blah unless one also allows arbitrarily small sizing.

Expected Results:
Allow fonts on pages to be specified by website, but retain user-control over sizing.

Was about to submit this bug....then searched for it ...and found I'd already submitted it two months ago.

This is still a problem. I don't need to ignore the fonts on a page, but the font sizes are a problem. Maybe a global way to resize the whole canvas in the browser -- not as an extension, but using the browser's integration with the GFX lib to do a zoom -- that way, on modern graphics hardware, the zooming wouldn't take cpu time and would get *smoothly* zoomed rather than creating a software, pixel expanded magnification like the current zoom extension...?

Isn't this something you could do via a user stylesheet?
