There are a few problems with Add-Ons in Firefox if you build in 64bit. The first thing is, the buttons of the Add-On manager are dark grey instead of "OS X silver". Second, if you start in 64bit with a new (clean) profile, FF doesn't find any plugin, the Add-On manager is empty. If you first open a 32bit build and than the 64bit build, the plugins are recognized correctly (but doesn't work, but I think thats a problem of the plugin itself). Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel x86_64 Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20091228 Minefield/3.7a1pre For testing this you can build your own 64bit FF build or use one of the unofficial builds from the web (e.g. from mozillazine forum). Or wait for official 64bit builds.

The plugins issue is because you have no 64-bit plugins installed I expect. If not file a different bug for it. We'll just look at the buttons in the add-ons manager here.

The buttons in the add-ons manager have the wrong background colors because CSS gradients are not painted. I filed bug 537032 for that wider issue (gradients don't paint in chrome or content).

Now that bug 537032 is fixed, those butons now display the same as with 32-bit builds. Can this be closed ?

I cannot test right now but if you're confirming it is fixed by bug 537032 then fixed it is.
