I'm confused by this statement, can you please elaborate so that I can understand what your issue is about ?
Whiteboard: ?
On the header... where it says Subject, From, Recipient, Received, Date, Size,

Under the date some how it only records time of day.
for the current day, that would be normal
if this issue is gone please close with resolution set to worksforme.
if you still see this, please attach screen shot showing multiple days of messages and highlight the problem. TIA

shoag if comment #3 don't solve your issue, could tell us what is the value of setting mail.ui.display.dateformat.default in config editor? (see from options--> tab "general" and button "config editor".

The right (or better your desired) value is 2. If you see 0, then change this value to 2.
It took you FIVE months to reply to my last Comment! Not acceptable! Furthermore, your method of contacting you is very impersonal and tedious, after all this time I had no idea what my password had been any longer, I had to reset just to send this! I'm going to switch to Outlook Express.
Thank you for the response. Sorry you feel that way. On rereading, I don't see anything impersonal in our wording or tone. If you revisit Thunderbird, please feel free to update the bug. And please remember, support here is mostly volunteer work.

What I am saying is that it took you 5 months to write back. "Impersonal" in that the system on the computer in which handles these situations is not as user friendly as simple e-mail and/or a phone call. Red tape is involved and difficult to get qualified answers, as you are voluteers. Five months to get back is not acceptable.
