537612 - i cannot open links from windows live mail no matter what i do.

 i cannot open links from windows live mail no matter what do.3.6b5 no longer crashes and is very fast but this not opening email links is a deal killer. i have googled this issue to death and none of the fixes  - either for WLM or 3.6b5 fix the issue. i am running 3.5 non beta on my laptop (W7) and there is no such problem. i am running vista home premium on the computer that has the problem but i'm sure that is not the problem. please email a reliable fix for this. thanks

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on internet link
2.get 'application not found error
3.have to copy/paste link if i want to go to link
Actual Results:  
'application not found error

Expected Results:  
open link in new tab or window

Please set another browser as your default, then open firefox and go to options, advanced, check if firefox is default browser. Then, set it as the default.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.
