i sent a (new years greetings) mail to a lot of friends, with embedded picture and attached file. In some of the replies they returned i couldn't read their replied text in my message. Some of them became readable when View was set in text (but not in (simple & original) html), one of them even then showed nothing. I could see there was text though in the source of the message, some wrapped up in codes, some hardly. 
I first met the problem in messages from yesterday in my previous version of Thunderbird (2.0.0.xx), thought i needed to update and did so to 3.0, but the problem stayed.
All replies concerned seem to be composed in Microsoft Outlook (some Express) 11.

Is it readable if you start Thunderbird in -safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode)?

Anything in tools -> Error console ?

Sorry for slow reaction: tried Safe Mode, but still no visible reply-text, which is readable in Message-source.
Don't know what WFM is, so not tried.
Additional: working on new laptop with Windows 7, latest version of Thunderbird etc., copied all Thunderbird message files to this, so including this replies. Same problem. 
But the good news is: as far as I can see, the problem seems to have occurred only with the replies on this single mail. Still peculiar, but not fatal ;-)

WFM == Works for me , it means we cannot see your issue when we try.

If you try to reply again do you still have the issue ?

went on holiday shortly after my last reaction. I asked some senders of the failing replies to reply again on the newyearsmessage, but they had long deleted it. As the problem didn't ever occur again, i agree to let it be unresolved. Thanks for your energy on it. 
Btw: this was the first time i left a problem on this platform, so slow reaction is partly due to not being used to regular check for reactions. And lack of technical knowhow to understand and implement answers. And/or have time to work on it, which always takes me as a relative dummy more time than available. But i AM pleased someone seriously took notice. Next time i'll pay more attention ;-).
