User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.249.43 Safari/532.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) After visiting a certain page written in मराठी, on attempting to search for a string, it appears that the rendered page FF has turned black. http://i.imgur.com/RE3gn.png On scrolling up, it seems that only a partial portion of the page has turned black. http://i.imgur.com/epwaL.png I haven't run into any other side effects. FF appears to function normally otherwise. I can open tabs, visit other sites, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Here is how I reproduce it consistently : 0> Disable all extentions & plugins 1> Start FF 2> Navigate to http://www.khapre.org/blog/marathi/labels/4KSu4KWAIOCkruCksOCkvuCkoOClgA==.aspx 3> Hit Ctrl-F 4> Type the string "bi" without quotes. 5> Observe rendering bug -------- In case the website changes in the future, I have saved an offline version. http://uploading.com/files/m29mm91c/Test.zip/ Actual Results: A large portion of the rendered page turns black. Expected Results: The rendered page should have remained as-is and the scrollbar should have been positioned at the point of the first occurrence of the string. This might be relevant. OS: Vista x64 Business (SP2) CPU: E8400 Core2Duo GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 (Driver revision : 195.62) RAM: 8GB ------------- FWIW, I cannot reproduce this in latest Chrome, IE8 and Opera.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8pre) Gecko/20100103 Shiretoko/3.5.8pre I can indeed reproduce a black part of the page, but not anymore with Firefox 3.6 and trunk. In two cases however (bigger, biggest) I miss the green highlight. This part of the page can't be selected at all. IE8, Opera and Google Chrome mark the found text. Only with Opera I can also select the text. So only the black is gone but there are still two problems (found text not marked and impossibility to select).
