TB 3.0 introduced buttons in message headers (reply, reply all, forward, archive, spam, delete). I noticed, that after clicking in empty space of Today pane the delete button disappears (and appears again after clicking anywhere in mail area).

I don't know, whether it is bug of TB 3.0 or Lightning. As far as I noticed it happens only to delete button and it is necessary that no event is selected in Today pane.
