Sorry for going back and forth on this, but we need to use the default Google plug-in from en-US in [ja] too, after all. Per Kev, this comes as a request from Google that we use the same generic plug-in in all locales, including Japanese.

Dynamis, attached is a patch removing google-jp.xml from ja/mobile/searchplugins. Can you please land it ASAP and opt in in m.d.l10n?

Use the default plug-in

per bug 534139, I haven't heard anything from Google Corp. on changing the plugin for JA, so would prefer we keep it the default for the initial release. We can revisit as necessary in the first point release.

I landed the patch in the following revisions:

We want to take this in for fennec 1.0 rc3, this is why I landed myself. Dynamis, please remember to "hg pull -u" next time you work with the repositories.
