I did a uninstall of rc1, then installed rc2 (build1) on my n900. There is no shortcut on the desktop, and the icon in the list of apps is missing (it is just the default blue square)

Something weird happening with the Maemo icon cache. * Adding Firefox shortcut shows the right icon on the desktop, even though the icon is default blue one in the list. * Restarting N900 and trying to add Firefox shortcut shows the right icon in the list, not the default blue one.

From the duped bug.. Build Id: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux armv7l; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100105 Firefox/3.6 Fennec/1.0 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Uninstall Firefox 2. Install RC2 candidate Repo: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/candidates/1.0rc2-candidates/repos/1.9.2_multi/ 3. Install Firefox 1.0 rc2 candidate 4. Go to the "Add Shortcut" option and find Firefox Actual Results: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42893104@N04/4250808023/ Expected Results: The firefox icon should show up on add shortcut menus

per https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6931#c9 this type of issue is likely to be fixed in an upcoming maemo5 update

If that's the case, then once we get that update and the bug is not seen anymore, please invalidate this bug. If not, we'll have to look into it again.
