Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Thunderbird 3.0 2. Look for info about lightning being lost or incompatible 3. Note that no warning is posted about losing lightning data
Are you sure that you have lose all data? What lightning release do you use? It is this ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/calendar/lightning/releases/1.0b1rc1/win32/en-US/ ?
From private email by Jim >I was using lightning version 0.9. Eventually, I found the data file after much >googling. I downloaded and installed Sunbird and copied the data file into the >Sunbird profile directory. That seemed to recover my calendar data. I'll wait >until the Lightning group publishes a new version that would be compatible with >Thunderbird 3.0. thx, --jimr Ok your problem is that you use an invalid version of lightining: only 1.0beta work with TB 3.x and at this moment the official release isn't here. But you don't have lose any data: when you install right release your calendar will work fine. My link above is the link of 1.0rc1 release. I close this bug as Invalid. Many thanks for your feedback Jim. ;-)
