Despite "Mark messages determined to be junk as read" being set; mail sent to a junk folder is not.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure system with a "spam" mailbox

2. Set Account to send junk to there

3. Get spam in mail
Actual Results:  
Spam is sent to "spam" filter but shows as unread

Expected Results:  
Mail in spam filer would be marked as read.

Will check other accounts where "junk" is the actual mailbox.

Do you have the 'Mark message determined to be junk as read' option set in the Security->Junk settings panel?

Yes, it was set "on" from previously, and still is.

I am not able to reproduce this. If I have the settings set to mark junk messages read they are marked read when moved to the Junk mailbox. Does not matter if I manually mark as junk or if it happens automatically on mail check.

I'll leave this open for now. If anybody else sees this please let me know.

If you are able to reproduce this, please try try to reproduce it in Thunderbird 3.0.1 (http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/). If the problem is present in Thunderbird please file a bug against Thunderbird. If the problem is NOT present in Thunderbird please let me know or re-open the bug here.
