The list of collections should be restricted to a small list with slider (maybe 6 entries?), and the contents of the selected collection listed below that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install both All-in-One Sidebar and the Add-On Collector 2. Display add-ons in the AiO sidebar 3. Click the Add-On Collection button (leftmost)
Instead of a small list with slider, a drop-down combo-box would also work just fine.
Please report to the developers of these extensions. We can't fix their products for them.

Or rather, please report the issue to All-in-One Sidebar's developers. As to reporting to the developer of Add-on Collector, I'll move this to AMO->Collections so they can be made aware. Note that there's already bug 497521, but that's about the inability to log in at all, which this doesn't seem to be about.

Is it just me or is all-in-one-sidebar incompatible with a myriad of extensions?
I don't think it's just you. ;) However, in this case, it's not really All-in-One Sidebar's fault. Testing this out, and basically he's just complaining that when the Add-on Collector is crammed into the sidebar there's not enough room to see or do anything unless you make the sidebar a lot bigger than what one would normally call a sidebar. I don't see either party hacking this to make it work better, so it's either invalid (not the Collector's fault) or could probably be changed to a wontfix (Collector would need an AIOS mode, which isn't likely). Now, what I would suggest you make a point of complaining to AIOS is that by default it usurps the standard Add-ons Manager window, thus forcing you into this unusable state if you have the Add-on Collector installed. It seems you can override this via the AIOS options, but it might be nice if they detected the Collector and just didn't do this instead.
Created attachment 420950 [details] screenshot Here, have a screenshot. See, it's just a logical conflict in usage, not really a technical conflict (i.e. nothing is really "broken"; it just doesn't fit there).
I tend to agree that the "simple" solution is to have AIOS improve its Options dialog: there already is a tab for plug-ins, currently with just two checkboxes. This could be changed to a check list specifying for which plug-ins AIOS should "usurp" the window. (There may be technical difficulties to this suggestion) More broadly though, plug-ins such as the Add-On Collector should be able to find out the size of the window Firefox is shoe-horning them into, and adjust their behaviour accordingly.
