538793 - Hang selecting file from Flash Drive for HTML file upload

I don't have other machines to test this on, so if this is something unique to me, I apologize. I've only seen this on Mac.

I'm experiencing a problem where if I go to a site that has a File upload and select a file from a flash drive, the file dialog hangs solid. I have to kill Firefox and even after removing .parentlock, it still doesn't work right. I actually have to reboot.

I've tried with Firefox 3.6 Beta 5 and Firefox 3.5.

The page I had trouble with was:

But I've seen this with other file uploads.

The file was a PDF file on the flash drive.

When I selected the file, Open didn't enable immediately and then the whole dialog hung with the beach ball.

If I move the file to my hard drive, it works.

Looks like my flash drive was bad
