when I close firefox I get a "We're sorry" pop up window with two buttons...

From the comments on the crash report it appears that many other users have reported this crash.  I will send on this stuff anyway.. Hope it helps.

This is caused by mcafee's virus scanner thing. you can disable it or complain to them.

I uninstalled Mcafee a month ago.  I am running NOD32 now.  Mcafee's site advisor was causing problems with a couple of other apps.  I did report the problem to Mcafee.  I have gone through the registry and removed every reference to Mcafee as well as removed every file and folder reference.

Try running the Mcafee remover tool, then test again. http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
