changing the zoom on any page and then clicking on a URL on that page loads the new page but resets the zoom back to 100%

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. load a page
2. zoom in (with ctrl + mouse wheel for example)
3. click on a link on that page
Actual Results:
the zoom is back to 100% on the new page

Expected Results:
I would expect the same zoom to be applied as on the previous page, just like in Firefox 3.5 and earlier
Are you in Private Browsing mode? Tools > Options > Privacy > Never remember history? In that case also zoom size is not remembered.
Yes, I was in private mode. Was this the behavior in FF 3.5 too?

Yes, also in Firefox 3.5 this is by design.

Why is this behavior by design? What has zoom size got to do with privacy? It seems irrelevant to me.

I would expect to be able to zoom on a page, click a link and have the new tab zoom level be the same as the previous tab with the link. I can understand not retaining the zoom size between sessions since this would involve writing to the disk.
