is not closing the process
(using vista up to date)

Don't know if i should close as Resolved Invalid, or Worksforme... Dupe sounds appropriate here, because this bug is almost identical to the Bug 538823

Gil, the usual cause for this is and addon. There are several that have been causing this lately, ghostery (bug 538160) and babel fish (bug 538755). Please try safe mode or a new profile to see if any addons are causing this.

Tanner, with the high increase of addons that have been causing this, let's wait to make sure that we can't dupe to one of those bugs.

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is
far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox
3.6.x or later and a new profile
(http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the
closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and
comment on the bug.
