In bug 526692, comment 7, Matej suggests that settings panels should have an explicit "Ok" or "Close" button, since the "X" close button in the top-right corner is associated with a "cancel" action in traditional windowing interfaces. I see the point, although I've also seen a growing number of lightweight panel interfaces in web applications that use a single "X" close button to mean "close the panel, saving changes" or (more accurately) "close the panel, with changes already saved, as they always are the moment you make them". cc:ing Aza for his thoughts.

We will be monitoring all these issues after the rebooted Jetpack code base is released in the first week of March to ensure their causes are not duplicated. Many of the bugs/issues with the prototype version of Jetpack will be made irrelevant given the structure of the new SDK.
