I found a similar report in your list. The difficulty occurs both with OSX 10.4.11 and 10.5.8. This process works ok with firefox.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Attempt to open file by clicking on it
2.dragging file to seamonkey icon
3.
Actual Results:
seamonkey opens a blank 'untitled' window
Expected Results:
file should in window
