Firefox restarts, but the install page is still open and Firefox will attempt to install -again- the same revision of Jetpack. This will continue to until the user selects to cancel the install. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to URI: https://jetpack.mozillalabs.com/install.html 2.Select Jetpack for installation 3.Follow given/on screen instructions 4.Restart Firefox when prompted 5.After restart, Firefox will present the Jetpack install dialog encountered after step #2.
Summary: Recursive Install on Firefox Restart → Recursive Jetpack Install on Firefox Restart
we have this some problem with the firefox download page. we should try and sniff and not offer the automatic download if the thing being offered is already installed. that might be harder to do with addons and jetpacks, etc...
We will be monitoring all these issues after the rebooted Jetpack code base is released in the first week of March to ensure their causes are not duplicated. Many of the bugs/issues with the prototype version of Jetpack will be made irrelevant given the structure of the new SDK.
