When you have started installing an add-on, and before a restart has been done, there's a button called "Cancel" that will undo the extension install. However, I have seen people get confused, and take that button as a "cancel the restart", since there's a notice right above it about restarting. The simplest fix would just be to change the button label from "Cancel" to "Cancel install".
