Do we really need to install the compile.php cron on all production servers, or is it something that only needs to be done prior to each (manual) push?

Yeah, it's necessary to run every 15 minutes. It generates a json file for the add-on that contains persona information that changes continually. It doesn't have to run on all the boxes, it just needs to generate/write to /static/index_1.json

Looks like the update occurred, but the css revision wasn't incremented (my fault). I've committed r59986, which only changes the svn revision #s for the site, nothing else. Updating to that should fix a few small glitches I've noticed. Thanks!

Glitches are fixed now, looking good.

The link to themes on AMO had some incorrect padding and margins. Prod should match stage now.
