STR Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100105 Firefox/3.6 start Mac Utility "Activity Monitor" check cpu activity = 5-10% range load http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2357995,00.asp watch cpu rise to 100%, then bounce around 80-100% and soon after the fan comes on and stays on steady. close tab and cpu returns to lower range. maybe this is just an evangelism bug. should check across firefox versions, OSes and other browsers.
on mac safari 4.0.3 cpu goes to about 7%-14% use when loading the page.
on a windows XP vm with Identificador de compilación: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-CL; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100105 Firefox/3.6 I see occational spikes of 99% cpu use, but it bounces back and forth low to high, much more.
