539777 - New mail notification (e.g. toaster on windows) shows older messages

on windows 7, at least, the new message notification appears whenever a new message is received.  however, it's not useful as it shows a number of messages, none of which are the one that was just received that triggered the notification.

i would have expected to see a notification with the single message that was received.

i haven't looked closer yet, but perhaps it's showing messages before junk filters are applied?  or perhaps it's using a sort order that's different?

Could you try looking a bit closer. I think we already have a bug on file with notification and filter interaction

This is bugging me every single day. Makes notification completely useless.
I also have filters for incoming mail.

I don't think this is filter-related, I think it's when you don't read incoming messages so they are still new when the next notification comes. The order of notification seems to be oldest "new" messages first. I suppose this should be newest first to be more useful.
