Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Log in to Facebook (if you use that like in my case). 3. Search for my user & click on the playlist-link to open it in Spotify. 4. Nothing happens. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: Spotify should open & start playing the first track of my playlist.

The program would need to register the spotify: protocol with the Gnome application registry for Firefox to automatically process spotify: links. Please try an aim: link which should work, if it does then there is nothing for Firefox to fix.

Can't create the issue since I'm currently not in Ubuntu.

I can confirm that this is working under Firefox 19.0.2 fully updated with working plugins & Windows 7 for 64-bit is used. When you click the link, you get a page to click a button that say "I have Spotify) and then you get a smaller popup-window letting you choose what program to load that protocol with. Seems that it's not used in Linux. Weird.
