As far as I can tell, this is done, and it'll get pushed to prod today.

It's neither on authstage nor prod: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/platforms/
(Is still on trunk, though -- Alex says our normal workflow for Mozilla.com is disrupted.)

It's OK on trunk only for now.
I removed this from stage, because /maemo isn't in production yet, and stage turned into production with the launch yesterday.
i.e. avoided broken link in production.

SOrry, I removed this on purpose, because it was getting in the way of merging other changes to production for RC 3. Need to put it back now that all the pages will be live. Thanks.

the link goes to .../maemo and then there's a redirect to .../maemo/ -- is the current style to cause people interested in mobile to get lots of excess redirect traffic?

fair enough, r61693 (on trunk) should counter this issue
But, yes, that kind of redirect traffic is very common on mozilla.com (and it makes me very sad too)

Mid-aired with timeless/Alex; I'll wait until the /maemo/ fix is live before verifying.
Verified FIXED on http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/platforms/; a little unusual that we link to /index.html (rather than just /maemo/), but that's not wrong, I don't think, just superfluous.

so, mozilla.org style historically said "don't link to index.html". the idea is that a link should work even if you change your content engine, and the server should be ok w/ looking up / as /index.html.

r63992 fixes the issue in comment #16 (linking directly to index.html)
