540578 - Bitmap signitures don't work when clicking Mailto links

I use a signature saved in 24 bit bmp format. It works fine if replying or sending mail, but if I click a Emailto link on a webpage the signiture doesn't display.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save a signiture in 24 bit bmp format
2. Click on a emailto hyperlink on any webpage
3.
Actual Results:  
Email composition box comes up with the recipients email in the cc box, but the signature is displayed as a small box

Expected Results:  
Signature displayed as normal

I'm not sure if this just happens with 24 bit bmp saved signatures. It may be any files not saved in conventional text format.

a few questions :

* Does it work better is you start thunderbird in -safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ?
* If the image is in jpeg do you also have the issue or is the issue only present with bmp files ?
* When it happens do you have any error messages at the end of Tools -> Error console ?

The signature still does not display in Safe-mode

Jpeg files also do not work

No error message is displayed. It just displays a small white box with a red dot in the corner.
