I am using english OS with language kits. After i imput french chars into 
composer (any field, AB card etc)and then switch to JA keyboard the french chars 
are still in the buffer and the mapping is certainly wrong. You have to go back 
to US keyboeard and only then swith to JA to clear the buffer, otherwise the 
convertion will be wrong

What buffer is that? Do you have a screen shot of the problem?
OS: Windows NT → Mac System 9.0
Hardware: PC → Macintosh

this?

No, we do not. This is not known problem.
It is also reproducible with SimpleText so this is not a mozilla bug.
