Say that I open emails A, B, C in tabs, then quit Eudora (completely). When I would re-open Eudora, only email A might still be open; or emails A, B, C, D, E might be open. In Eudora 8 beta 8, this is a lot worse. Say that I have emails A and B open in tabs. When I close the tab of email B, email B appears in the tab of email A! At times it's more random: closing a tab causes a random (recent) email to appear in the next tab to be brought forward. Essentially, tabs are now unusable. I miss Eudora 7 which allowed me to leave 25 emails open, minimized at the bottom of the mail window, for further attention. They would always re-appear, even after a crash, in the same order. Thank you, Jean-Francois Reproducible: Always I played around with the tabs options in the 'Penelope' part of Eudora's 'Options...', but I couldn't solve the problem.
I'm seeing this too. Not really reproducible, but it is happening.

Actually I have a reproducible case for me: - With only the Inbox displayed, open 2 messages in tabs - Note tabs have correct titles - Click each of the tabs - Click each of the tabs again - At this point the 2 non-inbox tabs will have the same title and content.

The problem occurs when a message in a tab is viewed in the main Eudora window. Closing the active tab, or clicking on another tab, causes the problem. However, closing an inactive tab doesn't cause the problem. A similar problem occurs with mailboxes opened in tabs.
For those with initiative, this bug is fixed in the Penelope hg source code depot: <http://hg.mozilla.org/penelope/rev/0599b6869a79>. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next release, Eudora 8 beta 9/Penelope 1.0b1.
