1) start with 2 tabs

{A,B}

2) from A, open 2 links in new tabs

{A,{A1,A2),B}

3) switch from A to another tab and back to A

4) open a third link from A, it opens in front of A1

{A,{A3,A1,A2),B}

5) Fx should remember the children already opened from a tab and open new ones after them:

{A,{A1,A2,A3),B}

Reproducible: Always
based on beltzner blog post here:
http://beltzner.ca/mike/2009/01/11/a-small-change-to-tab-ordering-coming-soon-to-trunk/
"if multiple tabs are opened (in the backgound) from links, they will open sequentially to the right of each other; as soon as focus changes, this sequential opening behaviour will stop, and tabs will go back to opening immediately to the right or at the end of the tab strip as per the above"

looks like this is intended behavior, but also i've been unable to find a dupe, and it's still a bit unclear to me if focus means "real-app-focus" or "user-focus", since user going back to tab A is not a focus change in his mental chain.

So i'm not resolving for now, i'd like to have a clear reasoning from a driver about this. Some developer too finds it confusing (dbaron said on IRC he would prefer keeping on with ordering when going back to the tab).

Beltzner (or any driver) could you please clarify direction we are taking.
I can give my reasoning:

let's say you are reading something sequential, like a blog, a forum, news of some kind.

You start opening links in tabs and naturally you want them to be in the opening sequence.

Then you switch away temporarily, something else needs attention, then you switch back and want to resume.

Your intent has not changed, just because you looked away for a second, you still want the links from that page in a sequence.
