User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100106 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100106 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.7 Hello, When I use private browsing, and view the page about:privatebrowsing, I see a horizontal scrollbar in Firefox. I'm using Ubuntu Karmic 9.10, Firefox 3.5.7, my screen resolution is 1440x900, Firefox is maximized, and just in case it's possible my theme may be causing the problem, I'm using the theme "vista-aero" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Go to Tools-> Start Private Browsing 3. about:privatebrowsing should be the default page shown, if not, enter that as the URL. Look at the strange horizontal scrollbar that shouldn't be there. Actual Results: A horizontal scrollbar appears at the bottom of the window, even though no horizontal scrollbar is needed. Expected Results: No horizontal scrollbar should be shown. Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 Firefox 3.5.7 Firefox theme vista-aero Screen resolution 1440x900 @ maximized window

James, would you please perform the following actions: 1. Go to about:privatebrowsing, and click Ctrl+A to select everything. 2. Right click on the selection and choose View Selection Source. 3. Hit Ctrl+A in the View Source window to select everything. 4. Copy it to the clipboard, paste it into a text file, and attach the file here. Thanks!
I have not updated to 3.6 yet (I'm allowing the repos to update me on their own), however I did safe mode with disabled addons, and the horizontal scrollbar was not there like it should be, which leaves to the conclusion that it's the theme in some way. I'd also like to note that that specific horizontal scrollbar pops up all the time when browsing websites and moving the mouse over flash objects, however it doesn't stay, it just flashes briefly and is gone, really strange behavior..

What you attached is the source of about:privatebrowsing, as it appears on disk, which does not helpin determining the problem. Please use the steps in comment 2 to create the DOM selection source. Also, if you want to figure out which extension is causing the problem, you can use a binary search algorithm, like this: 1. Disable half of your add-ons, and see if the problem is still there. 2. If it is, the problematic extension is among the remaining half. You should return to step 1 considering only that remaining half. 3. Otherwise, the problematic extension is among the half you disabled, in which cause, you should disable the rest, re-enable the first group, and then considering only that group, returning to step 1.
My apologies. I guess it doesn't pay to cut corners. That should be what you asked for this time.
I changed my Firefox theme to the default theme and the problem disappeared. It appears to be a theme issue somehow at this point in time.
