Upgraded to Firefox 3.6 yesterday.  Downgraded back to 3.5 this morning.  System does not always wake up from sleep mode.  System crashes intermittently, especially after being in sleep mode for extended time.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Lower lid on laptop
2. Open lid on laptop
3.  Have to reboot computer to wake up (depress power button for more than 4 seconds), so not really a wake up but a reboot.
Actual Results:  
I have not verified if this latest version of Firefox 3.5 will eliminate the problem.  But version 3.6 is definitely causing issues.  

Expected Results:  
Normal laptop wake up to previous state.

Not cause a crash.

Sorry, but there's not much that can be done about this, I'd say.
Of course you perceive the transition of 3.5->3.6 to be the cause, but that's
not the whole picture.

When your system returns from sleep mode, Windows notifies all drivers so they
can get their devices and themselves ready to work again. If something goes
wrong in this process, there culprit can only be one of your drivers or the
Windows kernel itself since only these are able to "crash" the system itself.
Firefox could merely have created a new situation which the driver somehow
can't cope with properly, but isn't able to directly crash anything besides its
own process.

As a user, the possibilities of what can be done now are limited:
   * Try to use a more recent version of your graphics/sound/network/etc
     drivers if available. Non-device drivers like antivirus software must also
     be considered.

   * Disabling the auto-reboot can give you a chance to read the blue screen
     before it disappears. For some types of crashes, Windows is also able to
     show right away which driver was responsible.

     Windows-Key + Pause -> Advanced system settings -> Tab "Advanced" ->
     Third "Settings..." button -> Untick checkbox "Automatically restart"

     If this helps finding out the driver, it's best to contact their customer
     support. If not, Microsoft support should also be able to help.

   * If this doesn't work, staying with the 3.5 branch may be the easiest way
     to temporarily solve this. Firefox 3.5 will still be updated and since
     there aren't too many new features in 3.6, you can wait for updated
     drivers that don't have this issue, while not missing much either.

Yes, 9 months later I also do not have problems anymore.  There have been various driver and OS system updates that have resolved these issues.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 4 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also, ensure you have the most up to date graphics drivers, operating system updates, and plugin versions (flash, java, etc). If you continue to see this issue with the newest Firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
