couldn't find any duplicates, so I'm filing a new one.

When you open a tab (like a message tab) from a folder tab you should be taken back to the opening tab (folder tab) after closing the message tab.  This is the current behavior of Firefox tabs.  Likely we'd want to combine this feature with an "open tab beside tab opener" feature but I'll open a separate bug for that.
