The problem occur for the first time when i had updated into versio 3.6.
Now the browser crashes every time i press spacebar in the search box.

to identify the cause please try default theme first and if it still crashes then, disable your extensions on-by-one to find the culprit. double-check that one causing the crash by installing it to a new separate profile.

I believe i have found the problem.
Disabling the "YSlow extension", firefox does not crash anymore..
i have also read the Reviews at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5369 and other users have the same problem.
