Hi:
There has been a recent (and weird) bug. Whenever I play Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne and I minimize the game, I am often unable to get back into the game (i.e., can't make it go fullscreen again). When I select the game, it fullscreens, then immediately minimizes again. The only way to get it to display properly is for me to close all instances of Firefox. Other applications don't seem to affect Warcraft 3.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Warcraft 3
2. Minimize game with Firefox already running
Actual Results:
Can't get back into the game.
Expected Results:
Should be able to get back into the game.
I have a dual-monitor setup.

Similar problem here.
Windows 7 x86(32 bit) Ultimate, Firefox 3.6, single monitor.
When FF is running any attempt to launch UrbanTerror minimizes it on start.
Then I can only (and not always!) switch to it using Alt-Tab, not even by mouse-clicking on it's minimized icon. UT shows in full-screen and then minimized again immediately.
When FF is not running game launches, switches to desktop, etc. without any problems.
Had do downgrade to FF 3.5.8 as workaround.

My workaround for this is to set "Disable Desktop Composition" in Compatibility settings for war3.exe file.

Thanks Nikola, I'll give that a try. Another method which SOMETIMES works for me is to select the game (by either clicking the icon on the taskbar, or by Alt-Tab) and then rapidly clicking on the middle of the screen a bunch of times.

Disabling desktop composition worked for me too.
Nikola, Thanks for workaround!
Same problem with me on Vista x64. Launch game with Firefox 3.6.12 running but minimized causes game to not be able to run full screen. Tested with all Fallout games, and a few others. This needs to be fixed cause running without desktop composition isn't an option for me.
FF force upgraded from 3.5.x to 3.6.12 with out asking.

Woops, sorry about that.

Sounds like a dupe of 4.0 bug 566135, but that code can't be back ported. Can you reproduce this in a 4.0 beta?
One way around this might be to disable trim on minimize: Create a bool pref named
"config.trim_on_minimize" in about config, set it to true, and restart the
browser.

Actually we might be able to get that patch into 3.6. We don't support the full screen size mode in widget, but the core fix at the top of that patch looks like it would work on branch.
If someone can confirm the trim on minimize "fix" works, I'll dupe this over and try to back port it.
