Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.1pre) Gecko/20100126 Namoroka/3.6.1pre
Build Identifier: Firefox 3.6

The trackpad gestures all work perfectly, except the three finger swipe left, which should be equivalent to the Back button. Three finger swipe right to go forward works also.

This bug existed in Firefox 3.2, 3.5 and now in 3.6. However, in Namoroka (Firefox 3.5apre, 3.6apre and now 3.6.1apre) the swipe left works.

There is some fundamental difference between Firefox release versions and Namoroka, maybe something with a preference being wrong. In any event this is not reproducible on all Macs, my MacMini is unaffected, but my MacBook Air (both Snow Leopard and identical release) has it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a web page, click into it.
2. Gesture: three finger swipe left.
Actual Results:
A system beep sounds and nothing more happens.

Expected Results:
Should have gone back a page in the browser, equivalent to clicking the back button.

Sorry, I mixed up two bug reports. Obviously my MacMini is unaffected, as it has no trackpad for gestures. It's only on the MacBook Air.
Did you use the same profile in 3.6 and 3.6.1pre?

I simply installed 3.6 alongside 3.6.1pre, but I didn't start the Profile Manager. Was under the impression that the same profile is used, as I had all my usual bookmarks and add-ons.
Ok, hmm... can you reproduce this bug with an empty profile?

I did reproduce that with an earlier version, but not with 3.6. I can do so tonight, if you want. Another thing I have tried is to re-assign the action for three finger swipe left, but the alternative action wasn't triggered either.

I am on a MacBookPro5,5, and for me, the three-finger Top of Page/Bottom of Page swipe has stopped working on Firefox 3.6, running on Mac OS X 10.6.2.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

I just reproduced the bug with Firefox 3.6.13 in safe mode. If anything, it has become worse, because now the three-finger-swipe right also stopped working.

I have been using Namoroka for a long time now on my MacBook Air and it has never had that bug (even in pre 3.6 versions). Currently I am using Namoroka 3.6.15pre and the three-finger-swipe is working perfectly in both directions.
This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.

I don't know what you expect from me ?!?

I have reproduced the bug as you said, please read my last comment (#9). I don't know what a CLOSEME tag is and how to remove it.
