The information in the registration page doesn't specify that one would normally register in order to install Experimental add-ons. It's somewhat suggested in the first paragraph, but it could use some improvement.
I don't see how this is inaccurate. The list of reasons only lists things you *need* to register for. You don't need to register to install experimental add-ons now, you just check the box.
