build:2000092608 branch build I have winamp installed on my machine Steps : 1 Install winamp 2 Launch browser 3 Go to Edit|Prefs and add new helper app under 'Navigator|Helper Applications' with details: Description: audio Extension : mp3 Mime type : audio/mpeg Application to use : 'path to winamp.exe' 4 Restart browser and click on any mp3 file on ur harddisk or on the web 5 Observe that the 'Unknown File Type' dialog pops up. Expected : Helper app dialog should pop up giving me a choice as to launch /save the mp3 file.
Can you post some of the urls you were using to test against? Also, can you send me your mimetypes.rdf file that should be in your profile directory? I want to look in there to make sure we really did add your new mapping for mp3.

Pls access the mp3's located in my share on windows : "pc215458/mp3/" via network neighbourhood. This is where I mostly try to load mp3's from.
shrir, can you try this again on today's build? I changed some stuff last night that could have effected this in positive way. I use real jukebox for mp3 files and that works for me. I have to install winamp to try this specific scenario.
Oh yeah :-)!! This works in today's branch build on windows (2000100408). Marking fixed. Adding keyword : trunk so that mozilla QA verifies this on the trunk build.
