if you have your passwords saved and firefox fill inputs in html form, you can change input type from password to text and you will see the password

Not a security bug - Firebug is a debugging tool, so it has access to the page contents the same way the pages themselves do. If someone has access to Firebug on your machine, you have bigger things to worry about than them discovering your passwords by changing form input types :)
