Thus it's not possible without the use of a timer to keep user interface up to date when this state changes (I think on a button or something to quick enable disable java/flash/etc). Reproducible: Always Expected Results: I would like to get some observer possibility for this, maybe "plugins-state-updated" with nsiPluginTag as source, maybe located in the global observer service.

Excel Add-ins can get disabled when Excel crashes. There is a Disabled Items window on the Excel Options, Add-ins menu that will allow you to re-enable or reactivate the add-ins that have been disabled.

We're in the process of removing support for plugins (bug 1677160), so I think this bug is irrelevant now.
