The current slideBar is too rough a UI mechanism with far too many usability issues to be considered a viable option for the reboot. Whether it be panel, door-hangers, or drawers, an new primary content container UI for jetpacks.

At this point, we don't have a sense of what we're going to do here, and I want to reserve the Jetpack SDK bug space for discrete issues with existing code and specific projects to enhance that code, so resolving this incomplete. Once we propose and spec out a specific project to implement an API that satisfies similar use cases, we should file a new bug specifically to implement that API.

The Add-on SDK is no longer a Mozilla Labs experiment and has become a big enough project to warrant its own Bugzilla product, so the "Add-on SDK" product has been created for it, and I am moving its bugs to that product. To filter bugmail related to this change, filter on the word "looptid".
