Build Identifier:
Just recently after "upgrading" to latest(?) version..
I get a message that Firefox is currently running...when I attempt to open Firefox.?
Apparently??? when I closed Firefox after a session(NOT shutting down the computer but on to a different task) ,,,Firefox did NOT close completely down.
Thank you...
I liked firefox but I will return to IE.. its problems are less than have to shut the computer down and re-start
Reproducible: Sometimes

Your situation is explained in <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+is+already+running+but+is+not+responding> and <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+hangs#Hang_at_exit>. The hang is often caused by one of your add-ons.
Note that bugzilla.mozilla.org is NOT a support website - this is a website for the developers and testers (including users) that want to file a particular bug. Most users are better served with the 'Support' button on top of the website.

Do you use ghostery by any chance? Or even just have it installed?

David,
Bug 538160 is the issue, bug 543732 is on soft-blocking the extension until resolved.
