There are a couple of problems with the Selected Text URL feature that we need to address: 1) The menu item name in the context menu. 'Selected Text URL' is not ideal. suggest we use a name that is an action (verb), such as: - Lookup [the selected text] in -> (meaning add an elided bit of the selected text into the menu item title) - Search for selected text on -> - Lookup selected text on/at -> etc. 2) The context menu (and perhaps the items in the Edit Menu) should be grayed out when there is no text selection (or non-text like an image is selected) More?
For those with initiative, this bug is fixed in the Penelope hg source code depot: <http://hg.mozilla.org/penelope/rev/26a81e636118>. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next release, Eudora 8.0 beta 9/Penelope 1.0 beta 1. The "Look Up Selected Text in" menu will be enabled if there is any selection at all, however the selection could be non-text.
