STR: * Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_urxI9L5Ak Switch to 720p. * Press ctrl+t and goto gmail.com I have a Gmail cookie, so I'm logged in automatically. This causes the tab loading Gmail to freeze (the throbber freezes and Gmail never loads). I can't switch between tabs by clicking on them. If I close Firefox, mozilla-runtime.exe continues to run and play sound. I can switch between tabs with ctrl+tab. This seems to unfreeze things. I think this may have something to do with downloading the video from the network. I was able to reproduce this a few times, but then it started downloading the video quickly (maybe from a cache?) and not freezing. I reproduced the problem again when I switched to a new video.
User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100203 Minefield/3.7a1pre
Hm...there are more strange interactions between youtube and Gmail. For instance, I just watched a video at 480p, closed the tab, then tried to open a message in Gmail, and it froze the tab. mozilla-runtime is still alive, using about 20% cpu. I can switch between tabs with ctrl+tab, but I can't interact with the gmail window. ctrl+tab doesn't unfreeze things. I can open a new tab with ctrl+t, but I can't load any new pages; the throbber stops animating, frozen at 0%.
More from the interaction in comment 2: After I killed mozilla-runtime, Firefox appeared to go into an infinite loop, using one full core and eating all my RAM. I killed it when it had almost 600mb used.
Doesn't happen to me anymore in 2/23 nightly. Marking as worksforme.
