User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100116 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100116 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I've been using this version of minefield for way too long and the update doesn't work. In the Update window there is a finish button, but it doesn't do anything (There isn't any other text in the window). Restarting Minefield and even the computer doesn't help. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get the version of minefield I'm running and try to update it. Actual Results: Won't let me update. Expected Results: It should allow the update to download and install.
I believe this is from bug 540175. You will have to go to http://nightly.mozilla.org/ and grab a new version. It is fixed now.

Nope. I downloaded the latest build and copy/pasted the contents into my Minefield folder. I still have the same issue.

Add a new boolean pref in about:config of app.update.log with a value of true. Restart, try to update, and copy / paste the values in the error console that start with AUS: into this bug
Weird, that fixed it. I've restarted many times today, but this time it worked.
Chances are this is a dupe of bug 540175 so reduping

I don't know if this is related or not, but after that successful update, a file called mozilla_runtime.exe caused my Minefield to run infinitely slow!
mozilla_runtime.exe is the oopp process. Bug 478976. The trunk is a bit unstable right now because it got turned on, hold on, in a few days it will be better :)
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
I found that simply ending the process fixes the problem, though you will probably have to do that each time you start Minefield.
Or turn oopp off.
