Firefox doesn't let me turn off the computer. Firefox won't quit. It prevents re-start on the iMac. Right side mouse windows pop up when you try to do anything and won't go away. Just tried to download 3.6 version of Firefox and was told I couldn't because I don't have permission to view some files. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Happens at random 2. 3. Not sure what precedes this problem occurring. It has happened half a dozen times. I also do not know why I cannot install the newest version of Firefox.

Shut down your machine, restart it, open "Applications" and drag Firefox to the trash. Open Safari and download Firefox 3.6. Open it in safe mode. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode You may also find some additional help at our support site: http://support.mozilla.com Use Firefox in safe mode for awhile, see if you can reproduce the problem. Sounds like a rough add-on, phishing or malware site, or possibly a virus (but they are rare on Mac)
