User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.2; Win64; x64; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: I have just upgraded my software to v3.5.7 based on a download offered through Firefox. I am using Windows XP64bit. The software installed this morning and immediately the application fails to work. I am presented with the upgrade information screen but cannot progress beyond it. The system hangs and shows a noscript prohibition. When I right click on the Noscript icon it gives me only 2 options - Options (with noting below it) and about noscript. When I try to switch tabs nothing happens - I get an error message saying something like "This is embarassing...." If I choose the restart option I get Google front screen, but it doesn't work. I have to close the app. If I relaunch the app the same thing happens - and I notice that the side menu (favourites etc.) isn't working. I am having to use Internet Explorer to contact you but if I try to bring up my 'Favourites' options IE crashes. It will only work if I key in an address directly. I cannot see any way to revert to the old version of Firefox so I am completely stuck. Reproducible: Always
This sounds like it is noscript that is causing the errors. You can create a new profile, and it should resolve that. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles. Please use the support site for help, we don't provide end-user support on bugzilla. As for your IE issues, there is no possible way that FF would be affecting IE, so I am afraid you will have to look elsewhere for help with that. Try resetting IE.

Tried creating a new profile - no joy. NOw only getting one tab on opening Firefox - "This is embarassing... Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. You can try: * Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem * Starting an entirely new browsing session Can't close, and if I start new session (bringing up Google) it doesn't seem to complete it's screen load and won't run. Even if this was a Noscript problem the upgrade shouldn't trigger it. Gut feel tells me that a shared component has been updated and doesn't work, affecting both IE and Firefox

Do you use Ie tab? There are no shared components between IE and firefox natively.

I don't use tabs on IE - but the problem is with bringing up the address lists not on a tab as such. Can't get Firefox to display the sidebar either. I'm a bit stuck. Should I uninstall Firefox and try a new version. Old version worked fine (3.5 I think) and I also see that version 3.6 is out
No, I mean the Ie tab extension. Try uninstalling and installing firefox 3.6, then create another brand new profile with absolutely no modifications.
