User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 Build Identifier: prism-1.0b3.en-US.mac standalone Web apps created using Prism 1.0b3 standalone and FF 3.6 do not give access to Preferences in the app drop down menu in OS X 10.4.11. This means that individual app settings such as cookies and javascript cannot be set for the web app unless the desired settings are preset in FF 3.6 prior to creating the app. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Run FF 3.6 and Prism 1.03b standalone on Intel (late 2006) OS X 10.4.11. 2.Create a web app with Prism. 3.Open web app. Try to access Preferences via app drop down menu. There will be no entry for Preferences in menu forcing the app to use the settings that were in place for FF 3.6 before creating the app. Actual Results: A web app may be created with inappropriate settings such as 'cookies disabled' with no means to change settings within the app. Workaround of course is to make the appropriate changes to FF 3.6 Preference settings prior to creating the web app and then afterwords reset FF as desired. Expected Results: A Preference selection should be available in the web app drop down menu. FF 3.6 with a 'Two Little Birds' persona and default theme.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.4 and Prism on Mac OS X 10.6.3 Intel. After I choose convert website to application, the first time I open the new application the preferences dialog will be missing from Mac OS x menu bar. Closing down the application and reopening once or twice will lead to the preferences menu item appearing along with its keyboard shortcut 'command-comma' and will remain hereon. At first I was trying to adjust the minimum font size using the mini preferences dialog which appears when you press the little gear icon in the bottom right of the application window. The setting never took hold. Fortunately preferences changed in the normal preferences window do.
After testing Prism on another Mac running OS X 10.6.3 Intel, I've found the preferences window option on OS X menu bar under application name can disappear seemingly at random however it is possible to bring back. 1.Run the Prism app and if the preferences option on the Mac OS X menu is missing then click the small gear icon on the bottom right of the Prism window to bring up the mini preferences window. 2.Change the default font to something else, then close the window. 3.Now quit the Prism app. 4.Open the Prism app and you should see the preferences option available under the application name on the Mac OS X menu bar.
Prism isn't maintained anymore. Mass closing of the bugs.
