Details

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9pre) Gecko/20100210 SeaMonkey/2.0.4pre - Build ID: 20100210004028

After opening the sidebar by F9, I see an empty space with the following message:

The sidebar is currently empty.
You may add tabs by clicking on the "Tabs" button above.
If you would like to completely hide the sidebar, click on the "View" menu above, and select "Sidebar" from the "Show/Hide" submenu.

The error console contains the following message:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [nsIRDFService.GetDataSource]"  nsresult: "0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)"  location: "JS frame :: chrome://communicator/content/sidebar/sidebarOverlay.js :: sidebar_open_default_panel :: line 819"  data: no]

I don't think this is a dupe of bug 520480, because I've had a functioning sidebar in 2.0.x nightlies much more recently than when that bug was reported (no exact date but it was only a few days ago, certainly less than a week) -- that bug was reported for rv:1.9.1.4pre Gecko/20091003
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9pre) Gecko/20100211 SeaMonkey/2.0.4pre - Build ID: 20100211012207

Today I have a functioning sidebar again; however, I didn't start SeaMonkey the way I usually do, see bug 544725 comment #12.

No reply from reporter --> Resolved.Incomplete

Reopen if you can reproduce with using an recent Build, and submit actual information.
