User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20100202 Iceweasel/3.5.6 (like Firefox/3.5.6; Debian-3.5.6-2) Build Identifier: Version 2.0.0.23 (20090812) In a shared maildir where i do not have the right to delete a specific folder it is not possible to delete a mail in this folder, with pressing delete or clicking delete in the context menu. In the context menu delete is inactive. It is possible to remove the Message by moving it to some different place (e.g. trash) so it is not a problem of the IMAP Server. If you have the right to delete the folder too, then you can delete the message in this folder normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Subscribe to a shared maildir where you don't have the right to delete a specific folder, but most of the other rights (e.g. eilrstw). 2. Move a message to that folder. 3. Try to delete it. Actual Results: The message will not be deleted. Expected Results: The message should be deleted.
Raffael, do you still see this problem in version 3.1 (I would expect so). rsx11m, I would think there is nothing we can do about this. Do you agree?
Either bienvenu or WADA may be better suited to answer this. Intuitively I'd say that the lack of delete permissions on a folder (i.e., not allowed to delete the folder itself) shouldn't propagate to a specific message in that folder, but I don't know enough about inheritance of such attributes given in the IMAP standard.
