http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles The title says "Profiles" when bookmarking this becomes ambiguous. Saying "Profiles | Mozilla Support" or similar is a bit more informative.
I only trust James.
I vaguely recall us purposely removing the site title from the HTML title.
I'd like to hear the rationale for that, because I'm with Dave.
Is it in the SVN log? (I don't know which file to look for.)
(In reply to comment #4) > Is it in the SVN log? (I don't know which file to look for.) r14758. The commit message is "redesign" by bkrausz.
Thanks! That actually wasn't it. The website was redesigned to pick up the new look of www.mozilla.com at the time (bug 435555). This a screencast made 2 months prior, that shows the old design with no site name in the title: <http://ilias.ca/sumo/2008-04-11_1142.swf>. But looking at the log for mozkb/header.tpl brought me to r5590, made in August of 2007 (yes, 2007 :-) ). The reason is in bug 390123 comment 1 : "I surfed around Mozilla's sites a little and noticed no one puts the site name after." Looks like that has changed, even though the separator is not consistent.
Should we use Firefox Support or Mozilla Support?
It should use settings.SITE_TITLE (or similar) and that can be set to _("Firefox Support") or whatever you're calling SUMO these days. I was uninformed when I filed this.
(In reply to comment #7) > Should we use Firefox Support or Mozilla Support? Firefox Support (with that string being configurable for other installations of SUMO)
(In reply to comment #9) > (In reply to comment #7) > > Should we use Firefox Support or Mozilla Support? > > Firefox Support > > (with that string being configurable for other installations of SUMO) Dave's solution in comment 8 will make the string configurable. Now that we have Tower, we probably want to localize that with context.

Where is this testable? Neither http://support-stage.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles nor http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles have it, and http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/k/en-US/kb/Profiles is a 404.
(In reply to comment #13) > Where is this testable? Search has it: http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/k/en-us/search Search is the only part under Kitsune for now. Basically, we have our template append the site name to titles, so future implementations of forums and the wiki will have the same title style.
(In reply to comment #13) > Where is this testable? Neither > http://support-stage.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles nor > http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles have it, and We added this in Kitsune. It doesn't seem crucial enough to back port to Tiki. http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/en-US/search > http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/k/en-US/kb/Profiles is a 404. We haven't implemented the KB in Kitsune yet.
Verified FIXED on http://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/k/en-us/search?q=o+hai: <title>Search | Firefox Support</title> (Whether we want to have the search term in the title is another discussion/bug.)
